answers to post-treatment questions

What happens next now that you're back at home.

What should I do once I leave the clinic?

You may return to work or school the following day and gradually resume your previous activities.

At any time if you have weakness or numbness anywhere, which you believe may be caused by the procedure, limit your activities until the sensation fades.

Patients may experience soreness or increased discomfort for a couple days up to a week.   A longer period of up to 5 weeks is advised before resuming normal activity. An example might be strenuous exercise.

Clinic staff will provide you with a discharge instruction sheet that contains guidance on things like medications and other important details.

How soon can I expect to see results?

Most patients cannot detect initial improvement for at least 3 weeks and possibly up to 8 weeks. Once you feel a slight change, you will continue to notice improvements expanding over six months.

Are there any side effects?

When used in a medically appropriate and thorough individualized treatment plan there are no known risks of rejection.

Do the results diminish over time?

Since every patient is different no implication should be made that you will heal or receive a sustainable outcome that is better or worse than other patients who have experienced stem cell therapy. As with any medical treatment plan, long term results will vary among individuals.

How many post-procedure followup appointments will there be?

This is determined by severity of your condition, and how your body respond to the treatment.

Because the first treatment was so effective I would like to consider a second treatment for a different condition. How long is an appropriate wait before scheduling the second treatment?

It is best to wait two to three months to assess another area of concern.  Since stem cells migrate within the body, time is needed to allow the cells introduced during the first procedure to do their work.

What if I want to refer someone to STEMCELLSPDX but I hesitate since I do not know if their condition would be helped by stem cell therapy?

We ask that you encourage any family or friends or people you know to simply contact us to schedule their own initial 30 minute consultation.

There's no obligation and no cost for this initial clinic visit and it can be quite informative.

If a person can be helped by regenerative medicine it will become clear during the consultation.
